What We Can Expect

By coming together to form our union, we've created real power to make changes at work. Administrators know this, and that's why they're fighting us. They don’t want us to have a say in creating the best conditions for ourselves and our patients.

To prevent us from building power, they will send letters, hand out flyers, and hold meetings to attempt to mislead workers about what a union is. It's already started, and you can see examples below!

But when we refuse to believe the hype and stick together with our coworkers, we will win.

And it will get better. When we unionize, administrators will sit down with us as equals and negotiate a contract that addresses everything we know we need to do our jobs safely and well.

Just like we do every day in our units, nurses have to stick together.

If you hear misinformation, reach out to a member of our organizing committee and get the facts. Check in on co-workers who seem worried or unsure to set the record straight.

Remember: We’re forming our union to protect our patients and  raise standards of care across our hospital and clinics… who can argue with that?
